As of January 3rd, Nora Kristine Stai has taken over for Johanne Rokke Elvebakken as Coordinator of the PRIO GPS Centre.

Nora is the new PRIO point of contact for the Nordic Women Mediators Network, and will coordinate the Centre's internal and external activities.

Nora has been at PRIO since 2020, working primarily on Reducing Barriers for Women in the Norwegian Armed Forces' Peacekeeping Contributions, a research project on women's participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations. She holds an MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, and an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford.

Johanne, who held the position as Coordinator of the Centre for almost three years, has left PRIO to pursue a PhD in Political Science at the University of Oslo. Her research will be part of the EuroWARCHILD project, which examines the experiences of children born of war in Europe. We wish her the best of luck in her new position, and eagerly await the results of her research.
