On 30 June - 2 July, PRIO's Centre on Gender, Peace and Security is co-organising the annual Missing Peace Initiative (MPI) Scholars Network Workshop, a three-day event bringing together researchers, policymakers and practitioners working to advance knowledge and policy on conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV).
Launched in 2012, the Missing Peace Initiative is an international partnership dedicated to strengthening research, policy and practice on CRSV by fostering collaboration across disciplines and sectors. The Scholars Network supports emerging researchers and promotes cutting-edge scholarship to inform policy and implementation.
This year's workshop is hosted by All Souls College at the University of Oxford and organised in partnership with the Missing Peace Initiative's partner institutions. The event is generously supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in London on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 2 July, the workshop will include a Policy Maker Event featuring William Hague, Chancellor of the University of Oxford and former UK Foreign Secretary, and Tore Hattrem, Norway's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, among other speakers.
Missing Peace Initiative partners and members of organising committee are:
Dara Kay Cohen, Harvard University
Chantal de Jonge Oudraat, Women in International Security
