​​​​The PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security was recently established in the autumn of 2015 to build on PRIO’s position as a leading research environment on gender, peace and security. To celebrate the establishment of the new centre, PRIO is hosting a launch event with guest speaker Professor Christine Chinkin​, Emerita Professor of International Law and Director of the Centre on Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics. Professor Chinkin will give a talk on ‘Women, Peace and Security: What Does It Mean in the Contemporary World?’
