On 25th December civil society organizations, under the banner "Forum 1325", together with research institutions, including PRIO GPS, Christian Mikkelsens Institutt and NUPI met to share updates from their work on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPS), with ministries developing their implementation plan of the National Action Plan on WPS.
The meeting was opened by State secretary Eivind Vad Petersson and was moderated by MFA Special Envoy on WPS, Signe Gilen. PRIO GPS coordinator Stine A. Bosheim shared updates from ongoing projects and work at the PRIO GPS Centre, as well as planned activities for 2025.
The ministries present included The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defense together with the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad). The Forum 1325 meeting is likely to continue biannually from 2025 onwards.
