EuroWARCHILD at the ISA Annual Convention 2025

At the International Studies Association (ISA) Annual Convention in Chicago, held from 2–5 March 2025, members of the EuroWARCHILD project contributed to key academic discussions on children born of war. Inger Skjelsbæk presented a paper on children born by female foreign fighters to ISIS at a panel focusing on humanizing IR. The panel also included members others researchers form the EuroWARCHILD project such  Ingvill C. Ødegaard who spoke about to compare cases of violations of children’s rights across time and space, and Lina Stotz who presented a paper on the evolution of child soldiers in law and policy and its significance for children born of war.Skjelsbæk also presented a paper focusing in the ethics of the study of children born of war on another panel focusing on methods and marginalization in transitional justice and beyond.
