On 17 November GPS Centre director Torunn L. Tryggestad chaired the closing session of a full-day public event on Children of the Enemy: When war does not end, organised by the Children Born of War Foundation in collaboration with the EuroWARCHILD project at the University in Oslo.

The first part of the event addressed research on and life experiences of Children Born of War (CBOW) from World War II, followed by sessions on current case studies and the challenges of balancing health and gender aspects in securing the rights of CBOW. The final session, chaired by Tryggestad, addressed how existing knowledge can inform policy development and humanitarian interventions.

The event gathered scholars, practitioners, policymakers and CBOW.
