Background

Carina is currently engaged as a research assistant and coordinator on the MoDe project, alongside curating a literature database on gender and mediation with the PRIO GPS Centre.

She defended her thesis titled "The Cost of Representation: An Intersectional Analysis of the Political Marginalisation of Women and Afrodescendants in Brazil" at the University of Oslo in December 2020. The thesis project received funding from Fritt Ord.
