On 24-26 March the PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security organised a workshop on 'Civil Society’s Role in Monitoring Ceasefire Agreements and other Conflict-Related Agreements'. The workshop was organised as an activity of the Nordic Women Mediators-Norway, in collaboration with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The workshop gathered 16 civil society representatives (mainly women) from a handful of conflict situations for 2.5 days of intense training, exchange of experiences and networking. This was one of those events where research meets policy and practice in a most meaningful way!
We were supported by a stellar group of resource persons, including Kristin Lund, Sylvia Rani Thompson, Juanita Millan Hernandez, William J Hovland, Atif Hammed, Tetiana Kyselova, Siri Aas Rustad, and Elisabeth Lothe.
